Basics of education
A student is the real judge of your knowledge .......I realized it after the interchanging phase of being student then teacher and then again a student.....How much we are true to our students? How far we succeed in imparting the application and skill based knowledge ? and how genuine we are in introspection? The dissatisfaction, the quest for knowledge and the my unanswered queries really made me think about my performance as a teacher and how much do I owe to those students? Talking about the general teaching strategy we emphasize more on subject expert in schools but when it comes to the teacher educators its just the opposite........A professional degree in education requires mentoring of the subject scholars i.e. for teaching the papers of psychology sociology n so on there should be subject matter experts who have achieved a masters degree and have good flair of knowledge. But what is happening in the most of the B.Ed colleges is that they look for a masters degree in education and the same in a school subject but simply forget about the compulsory papers that work as a firm foundation for understanding the basics of the teaching profession....The ignorance of these paper outlines the lackadaisical approach of the profession itself....
